It is estimated there are 4.4 million people with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in the United States. Chances are, you have a client or patient who has been diagnosed or meets the diagnostic criteria for ADHD. ADHD behavior is influenced by the executive functions (EFs) of the brain – and deficits in these functions cause difficulty with attention, focus, planning, time management, and mood regulation.
Dr. Sarkis uses her experiences as a bestselling author, psychotherapist, coach, clinical trials sub-investigator, educator, award-winning researcher in the area of ADHD and executive functions in order to best help you help your clients. Dr. Sarkis will show you how EFs work, and how they impact your ADHD client’s life and the life of their spouse/partner and family. Discover what treatments are available for executive function issues, and find out which assessments are best for determining executive function difficulties.
